Handle the order-ready flow

Accept an order, mark it ready, and let the guest know it is time to grab it.

3 min read·Last reviewed

Every order moves through a simple flow on the tablet: it comes in, you make it, you mark it ready, and the guest is notified. Here is how to run it cleanly.

Steps

  1. 1

    See the new order

A new paid order appears on the tablet with its items, any modifiers, and its pickup, dine-in, delivery, or drive-thru type.

  2. 2

    Make it

Work the order. Scheduled orders show their target time so you can pace the kitchen.

  3. 3

    Mark it ready

When it is done, mark it ready. The guest gets an order-ready notice so they know to come get it, and you match the pickup code at handoff.
